I ordered one of these this past March and had great results while using it, so when this one came out I knew what to expect. Same great product, but now with a longer cord... so now there is no need for an extension. This mic is long enough and works great!

Nice mic at a fair price
I got this mic to use with my GoPro Hero 4 Black when recording videos for my YouTube channel. Using the camera's internal mic worked OK, but not great. The internal mic picked up a bit of echo inside my workshop, as well as some hissing in the backdround. Using this external mic cleaned up the sound quite a bit, and lets me focus the mic on my voice or whatever I want to record, which is nice. The mic itself seems like quality hardware, the mic housing and clip are metal, not fragile plastic parts. The cable is nice and long with plenty of extra which allows you to get the mic away from the camera, and move around a bit. I used the included adapter for a standard stereo plug to work with the GoPro mic adapter cable. It's nice knowing the mic will also work with my phone, tablet, PC, or pretty much anything I'd ever want to plug it into... lol The included foam covers are nice too, should make it easier to blend the mic in with different clothing should you want to hide it a little better. Outstanding for the price point!
There is no better microphone in this price range. This is even as good, if not better, than more expensive microphones on the market. I didn't expect the sound quality that I got out of this microphone (because of the price). And the cord on this is crazy long! If you are using something like a selfie stick, or you need to back up a bit from your phone, you've got 12 feet of cord to use! Amazing. I can't recommend it enough! Excellent quality at an excellent price!

Nice surprise
I have another version of this mic with a shorter cord. This chord is incredibly long, so helpful for interviews and video in which the subject is speaking but also moving far from the phone/camera. The quality is the same as the other mic I have, and these are my thoughts on the PoP Voice Lav Mic: I connected this microphone to my DSLR, which previously had a Rhode Videomic GO. The PoP Voice microphone had a fuller range of frequencies and after applying some EQ and multiband compression in my video editor, it sounded clearer. I understand that the Videomic GO is not a lapel mic and therefore shouldn't directly be compared to the PoP Voice, however, given that it costs nearly 10 times as much as the PoP Voice mic, I figured I would like the more expensive mic.

From my 12yo niece: "I got this microphone to make ASMR videos. My friend called it a professional microphone. It worked very good and it helped with the videos." I originally bought this for her so she can make videos with her friend. She loves it and thinks it's professional. Quality is actually pretty good when viewing the videos they made. Overall I would buy one for myself.

High Quality Build and Sound
This microphone is great. The build quality is high with a metal clip and strong wire. The sound quality is also very good. background noise is minimal, breathing sounds are eliminated and it leaves a nice crisp original sounding recording. Plus the wire is an extra long 12.8 feet perfect for use at most any distance from recording device. If you don't need it that long, the wire can be bundled up and strapped together with the velcro strap that came with the microphone. Overall a high quality and perfect microphone for any use.

Microphone worked perfectly!
The item's packaging was good and was packaged well. To share, I tested it out on my android phone. Keep in mind that you need a headphone jack for this to work. Quality is extremely better than my phone's internal microphone. This is exactly what I was looking for. I will be using this to record podcasts in the very near future.

My test video was quick and non technical, the the quality of the audio through this mic is perfect for YouTube vids, voiceovers and vlogs where you’re not in a constantly moving/action state. I would imagine it would not be ideal for that. I did not do much of a test for background noise but I was fiddling with the mic for a bit and it sounded crunchy/sensitive. There was a lawn more in the background that could not be heard on the recording. Mine came with 4 mic muffs, and a PC/cam adapter. iPhone users- if your iPhone is newer and only has a lightning port, you need the 3.5mm to lightning adapter. ( this usually comes with the phone.

Easy to use to Vlog
I love to do my Vlogs and its hard at times when your traveling to different places and noises are everywhere. This mic helps me out on that as the mic is close to me and avoids those unnecessary sounds that are out there.
