@zakusasu let's say SAO because who doesn't know SAO in this section?when I read the LN My brain hurts when it explained: SAO's Aincrad world on how it works, GGO's gameplay, figuring how Death Gun managed to kill a person in a game until they revealed it, Mother's Rosario arc about that Medicuboid, and explaining that Soul Translator in Alicization arc. When I watch the anime they managed to simplify it to us.

I don't really read light novels, but I do read other books, and I appreciate the freedom written text gives. With a manga there's no room for your own imagination, but with a book you create your own image.

LN and manga has their own uniqeness. If I want something simple that is easy to understand then manga it is because the drawing really helps. If I want more details and a bit complex then LN it is because there are more information in it. This may not be true because there are complex and more detailed mangas for an example: HxH, One Piece, Death Note, or any mangas with lots of text. Also there are simple LNs that is easy to enjoy like Konosuba, or something similar.

There are visual novel though, sometimes they feature animated characters and art gallery. They even have voice over and background music. They are available online for a price of course.
