A good and healthy relationship isn't about liking the same things. It's about mutual understanding, respect, mixed with love and a common foundation. It doesn't matter if you like history channel and he likes tiktok stuff, as long as you can respect each others preferences.

My relationship is the same and I would almost be guessing that it's my girlfriend who wrote this post but she doesn't have . I usually like watching documentaries or playing games and she follows alot of people on youtube. For me personally it's awesome because I would feel suffocated and get a sense of panic if I can't be alone from time to time. If you're both happy then just go with it. There is no universal recipe for happiness. You just have to find out what makes you happy.

Having the same interests is fine but almost never likely for couples. Especially outside of things like working out for example. More importantly ive found is taking things about the relationship that bother you and making them tolerable or even positive without changing who you are as a person.

no you do not have to like the same things or do the same things. Like in everything a balance is key. if you _only_ like different things, and get in fights because of it, then it is of course not good. but if oyu only like the same things, only hang out together, only have the same friends, then you kinda lose yourself and your own identity. if you understand and know that he needs/wants his tik tok time, then it is okay. Just like he should understand that you have your history channel time if you both care for each other and want to make each other happy, than that is what matters.
